    You’re right, I was going to build it up as 1X bike but I got to thinking that she is doing so well bombin’ around these days plus she is smart cookie, so why not build it up fully geared and turn her loose on the trails. Yep… she is itchin’ to ride it, that is partly why I’ve been draggin’ my feet on the tires and pedals. I’m thinkin’ over that week off for Thanksgiving or the two weeks at Christmas, that’ll give me time to take her on the hills behind our home.

    This guy has posted this bar so many times! I’ve tried contacting him a number of times about selling and I’ve never received a single reply. I ever said my sister could pick it up local with cash, no shipping involved, and still nothing! Even Manbeer tried to get this one… how long ago was that?!!! (Manbeer 🙄 )

    This months Bicycling Magazine covers this issue, it’s written by a long-time Lance supported who now feels that there is no question that he doped. He brings up one god point to me, strip him of his Tour wins, and give the trophy to the second place finisher. The only problem is most of the runner ups are also caught and convicted dopers themselves. Now what? If he doped and the testing methods were not advanced enough for their time to catch him… which in over100+ test Lance came back clean everytime… I say let things stand. To strip him only opens the barrel of monkeys and when the most concrete evidence against him is “he said, she said”, I feel it would simply be wrong. Asking the accused to prove his innocence is ass backwards and pathetic. He did prove his innocence everytime he passed the drug panel… clean. Done in my mind.

    Forgive me for mentioning this if I’m mistaken… are your brake levers canti or v-brake? I can’t tell for sure because of the foreshortening going on in the picture, those look like canti levers. I trust you picked up some v-brake specific levers to go with the v-brake arms, right? If not, if those are canti levers, they won’t pull enough cable and your v-brakes will always be mushy. You can get around that issue with a Rollamajig or Problem Solver but those usually cost more than replacing the levers. Check out the pic on my A2L, I ran Rollamajigs because I didn’t want to give up my XT 7 speed pods w/canti levers but I still wanted to run v-brakes. Sorry brother, no way around this lever to caliper issue.

    That second picture looks ridiculous!!! Though that is a mighty nice Cuda for a C-note! Not me… I just gave my crisp new Mr. Franklin to my daughter’s swim team coach for this month’s dues… what a bummer! Oh yeah, the dog house 🙄
