    Good to be family-minded, I feel ‘ya, but this isn’t a big purchase. Besides, what could be better than a trail shot of you in the new Cuda jersey standing next to your Cuda Comp!

    I inquired on this one as it’s not far from my home, here’s the skinny…

    The Cuda is a 1995 A2M frame only, it looks to be a 16″, no fork or other parts, and the seller wants $35.00 for the frame.

    Had this been a ’94 A2M, like Mixalive’s, I’d be all over that! Unfortunately, double butted Tange CrMo became 7000 series aluminum in ’95. Not my frame material of choice, especially given the number of frames that have developed cranks by this age.

    If I had the choice, I’d rather drive 45 minutes and pick up that nice A2Limited for $100.00… now there’s a deal!!! 😯 Like I said, if I had a choice, which I don’t as I recently scored a 2002 Psycle Werks Wild Hare (Marz Z1 Bomber, Fox rear shock, King headset, and XTR) for $130.00! :D However, that purchase put me back in the dog house with my wife. Oh well, I sold the “Moon Man” Ultimate Machine Co. cranks on Ebay for nearly what I paid for the bike… basically scored a $3,300.00 custom bike for $20.00!!! I can live with the fleas and bike tools in the dog house! 😆

    That hideous thing was not made in Colorado… I doubt it was made in New York… by 1998 that eyesore has all the making of a Taiwanese turd!!!

    I ride every single day unless I’m sick or we’ve gone out of town. I have to… I can’t explain it, it’s like doing artwork… I do that every day because I have to for whatever reason. I guess it’s some sort of therapy, maybe personal time, who knows? I think riding is cathartic! Whatever I don’t want to take with me into the next day, grab a bike and leave it on the road. Just the same, a ride first thing in the morning, especially when most of the world is still snoozin’, is hard to beat! I’ve often wondered about that… what do people do that don’t ride (or create art, music, etc.)… do they just watch the boob tube? What a sad life!!! The way I see it, my ability to ride is my daily reminder to be thankful, so many people are unable to enjoy the experience of riding… I never want to take that for granted!

    That was the same internal set up that was in my Manitou Ti Mach 5 fork, it had an elastomer with a titanium spring. It’s a super simple design with little to go wrong, just make sure you use plenty of Fork Butter or some sort of medium viscosity grease to keep the elastomer from sticking within the fork lowers.

    Thanks guys! I love this bike, it only weighs 17 pounds, and it’s super solid and tight. The trick was replacing the rear drop outs and what to go with, it had Breezer drops, so I didn’t want to lose the ability to put gears back on in the future. The Surly were similar in style and I had the option of going with or without the derailleur hanger. The choice was simple! My buddy mod’d the frame for me and he did a super job!

    Like I stated before (on Velospace), I well very fortunate!!!

    Congrats Vinny… man, you deserve it!!!

    This last year’s board action has been thin from time to time but your action and involvement has been great! Not to say that I don’t appreciate each and every one of the Cudaheads on this site, because I genuinely do, but time after time vpc66 was the lone person posting. Thanks again buddy, your passion for your Cuda is obvious and your contributions have made you a strong member of this Cuda family!
