I upgraded my Cuda Comp today. I decided to upgrade to period correct XT components and install the LX components on my 2012 A2R project. Neo-pop lined me out with the derailleurs and brakes and I found the XT/Mavics here in Austin for $50.- August 2, 2012 at 1:12 am

I had loaded up my Cuda Comp with XT hardware and am installing the LX hardware from the Comp on to the A2R. I worked on the rear of the bike today with LX brakes and rear derailleur. I had an extra XT crank, so it goes on the A2R.- August 1, 2012 at 12:23 am

Skubi.. Are you referring to the shiny crank on this bike? In 94, the crank was available in black or silver. Here is an extra crank that came off my 94 Cuda Comp. If anyone wants it, let me know.- August 1, 2012 at 12:16 am

I tore down the A2R today. After I originally purchased the bike, I had sprayed the inside of the frame with WD40 fearing rust on the inside. While pulling the bottom bracket, the WD came pouring out, looking all rusty. So, I went to the local Home Depot and purchased some penetrating oil. I taped up some of the breather holes in the frame with E-tape and began filling up the tubes with the penetrating oil. After rotating the frame in all directions, I drained the excess and let drain overnight on its side.- July 27, 2012 at 12:53 pm

I got 3 sets of those things lying around that came off Barracuda’s. They came off the XX Team, Comp, and the A2R. Don’t like using them.- July 25, 2012 at 2:08 am

If you have to repaint, just repaint the back end. Tape off the decals and spray. That is how I did my XX Team. Check out: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=343
