1 1/8″ is correct for the steerer. Yes, many SS people will use a single chainring on the crank, though they usually use a single gear in the rear too. I don’t see any problems with using 8 back there and a derailleur. You can find forks all over the place, even some Barracuda ones come up for sale now and then.
Yeah, seems everyone loves my XXTeam. Not long ago someone used it to sell their own XXTeam on Craig’s List. I’d have loved to see the buyer’s reaction when he showed up and there was no Ringle kit at all on it. lol
There’s a picture of a 94 A2B on the “bikes” page (see link at the top of this page). If this doesn’t resemble yours, then you might have a 93, but check out the 95 just to be safe.
If you indeed have a 93, please take a good pic and show us. I don’t have one shown yet.
Interesting.. It’s definitely not an XXTeam, so it’s either an A2X or an A2L. I think it’s the Limited, by the top tube model decal, but I can’t remember if the Limited had the Trees Amigo decal pictured on this bike. If so, I’d say it’s def a Limited.
