    Do any of you guys remember how last year there were a ton of Barracuda’s on craigslist, and now there are prbably less than half of what there were? In addition, i’m seeing more lower end cuda’s, mainly from the post buyout years. Last year i would see XX Teams quite regularly, a few Comps, a couple A2X’s, A2T’s etc, even an Easton or two. Now its mainly A2Z, A2B etc and even they are few and far between. I don’t know if its just a seasonal thing or what gives 👿

    I love vettes, the LT1 was one of my all time favorite engines. I actually wanted to do an LS2 swap in my G35 as they have more of the parts to make it a bolt in proposition, and plug and play. A guy out by me had the first LSx powered 350z, it was pretty amazing. Potential for over 400whp with a few bolt ons and lighter weight/better fuel economy than most 6 cylinders.

    I find it rather shameful that my girlfriends 07 Mini Cooper S with a reflash and downpipe can consistently pull on my G35 on the highway

    1 1/8″ and as long as there is about 6.5″ of steerer tube left or more it should be sufficient for the head tube of that bike, which was pretty short.

    This is mine. i like the way it looks. unfortunately i need to drive it sometimes. then i don’t like it so much. too much money dumped in, custom paint, custom interior, tons of stuff…drives like total crap, handles bad, slow. I came from a BMW background a a few years ago i decided to be cheap when i was shopping for a new car. I’ll never make that mistake again

    I got it as a frame on ebay, had originally had done a really nice build but i just couldnt fit it so i downgraded it and my uncle uses it on the trainer right now.
    Mark, is it just me or have you noticed that the paint job on the ross built bikes doesnt seem as nice as the pre buyout bikes? My XX has very thin fragile paint and has a good amount of orange peel, as does my other 96+ bikes

    Thats actually pretty similar to my list, i never tried the Missle but i remember them. One of my all time favorites that ame out more towards the end of that era were the WTB velociraptor and i think i agree on all the others. I got my first subscription to MBA at the beginning of 95 so i remember missy giove, E.C and all the other heros of the era. Tomac was certainly one of, if not the best ever

    on the topic of fsx’s from before, i forgot to mention it but i also have the original fsx which was basically like a mag21 sl ti with carbon legs. Almost nobody who has seen it remembers them, i think it was pretty rare

    I was fortunate enough to be growing up during the CNC/Anodized “glory days” and wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. While i am sometimes accused of being stuck in the past, i don’t care.

    My hoarding accomplishes two things- it ensures that i will always have the bikes and parts that i prefer for as long as i can possibly ride, and it ensures that some bikes/parts that were falling/fell into the wrong hands get a new lease on life rather than being one step closer to the dump…

    Most of the parts in my collection are things i wanted when i was younger and couldn’t afford. Now whenever i find a decent deal i buy them just because i know that in another 10 years, it will be even harder to find things in good shape and prices will likely appreciate, in fact i feel like my vintage mtb parts are one of the most sound investments i have made. They satisfy my urge to shop and collect and never lose value

    Great deal for someone who has a friend or family that wants to give mountain biking a try, i have a couple a2f’s i picked up NOS for next to nothing as beater frames, they are tanks but ride well

    Hopefully i get the others more together in the coming months so i can make dedicate threads for each with actual decent quality pics

    Every bike i have besides the Trek, my original A2MS and the Jamis Dakar Team were bought in the last year, its a terrible addiction

    Thanks guys, the only other thing i am thinking of changing is the cranks, if i happen to find a set of kookas in nightstorm pattern. I always loved Cook Bros but i think the nightstorm ano would be fitting
