    Nice job, I’ve been looking for a 95 xx team for a while now and both yours and marks are done up pretty much the same as I intended, with the red ringle parts. I am riding an 80mm sid on my a2e and the geometry actually isn’t too bad, my uncle is actually using an 80mm manitou on his and they still handle pretty sharp. I think maybe because of the longer front triangle these are more accepting of higher travel than most older bikes

    by the way you probably saw on another thread that I am rebuilding up my first MTB an 86 Schwinn sierra. I would like to trim it in red ano. I’m watching a ringle stem on ebay but was wondering if you had anything like a seatpost or stem that you were looking to sell to a good home. I would like the stem to be on the longer side since the frame is actually somewhat short for me.

    I wish I had more red parts, unfortunately I have less in that color than I would like. I’m actually looking for a red ringle stem for my mountain cycles too, I had a nos red kooka but I ended up using it for my moms dakar team. As far as the seatpost since I think its 26.4 check a seller “chasertech” on ebay who has kalloy uno posts in that size in most colors. They are actually decent and cheap!

    Check with nj cycles. They have a ton of anodized hardware and I heard they do the anodizing on site. I was actually gonna contact him to see if he could do a couple items for me when he does a batch, including a pair of ringle cages I want to have done in a darker blue rather than the typical turquoise

    The 96 was a transition frame with tree amigos decals. It is actually a really nice frame and I think you should consider it if you want a steel frame. Its of the tange ultimate breed. I have this and a 97 too.

    Will, I actually know al, I’ve been to his store a few times. He told me he has another guy “will” that bought a bunch of frames from him too lol. Al gets some cool stuff in from time to time, I check in every so often. He gets them from the ross warehouse. What I wouldn’t give to be able to visit that place!     i see i am not the only person who frequently checks every incorrect spelling of barracuda they can think of to try and find something :)

    This guy had it up for like 95 dollars a month ago and i messaged him asking about it and is response was “u want it its yours 75 bucks come get it”

    i never bothered to reply back. Who knows…could be a hidden gem

    Your story is remarkably similar to mine, only i started back in 94 with an a2ms, and what was originally a entry-mid level bike quickly got decked out with kooka levers, race face cranks, full xt, and all sorts of other goodies. I easily ended up spending double what i paid for the whole bike in parts alone, and thats not including the ones i destroyed

    I was a little into biking before that, but had it not been for that bike i can safely say it may have just been a passing fad. Fortunately i still hung onto the frame, although many of the parts went missing along the way.

    AFAIK the Ultimate Machine BB was essentially the same as the TNT, a sealed cartridge setup which had identical specs. I may be mistaken though. Loved the astronaut!:)

    I may just snatch this up since its semi close and not one you see too often. I don’t know yet. Im really trying to limit my current buying to a2x/a2t, a 95 xx team, another 95 comp and a few of the oddball ross built frames like the downhill/fr models or possibly some more 14 inchers for guests to ride

    This guy has relisted this a couple times. According to bikepedia all the 93s used aerolite tubeset which we know is incorrect but I’m wondering if this could be a yeti built frame as it doesn’t have the made in taiwan decal on he headtube?

    Indeed. I had an early 90s sierra and it was 26.4

    I may be able to help you out there but no guarantees. There is a guy I know who picks up 95 1/2+ cuda frames from ross warehouse sometimes. When you see the nos ross made frames on ebay he is the one selling them. Anyway I’m pretty sure yours is the transition year and I think I have seen him with these before. Ill keep checking in from time to time
