Just looking at the first three posting in this thread…

    a Cudahead from England…

    a Cudahead from The U.S….

    and a Cudahead from Canada…

I think it’s pretty cool that a small bike company that wasn’t around for long could attract such international appeal.

Welcome to the family cometdata2, always pleased when another makes it home!

    Best regards,

I’ve had my best luck with two searches:

    http://www.yakaz.com

    searching barracuda bike

*no quotation marks or any other punctuation marks*

    -and-

    doing a google search for:

    site:craigslist.org barracuda bike

*no quotation marks or any other punctuation marks*

The google search will yield all results on Craigslist sites from around the country. A Yakaz search will list Ebay, Reacharoo, some Craigslist, as well as various classified sites. Between the two searches, I’ve found there to be little overlap, so it feels fairly comprehensive.

    Good luck!

    Hey Vinny,

    Check these ads:

    http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/bik/3053432526.html

(pretty nice shape, hasn’t seen much use, picture attached)

    http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/bik/3058391556.html

(no pictures of his ARC saddles but he has a white, silver, and red one listed)

    Good luck!

No dice on new ones, they do make them but they are nothing like the ARC’s from the 1990’s! There are still some nice ones that pop on Craigslist or Ebay from time to time.

Here ‘ya go… ARC Ti saddles on the cheap!!!

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=serfas+arc&_sacat=0

I’ll get back to you on next weeks possibilities.

    Cheers!

    Vinny,

You have good taste my eastcoast brother! I swear we must have been split at birth… for a spell every bike I owned had an ARC Serfas Ti seat on it and each of those saddles were held up by a Thomson post. That’s a legit pro set up for sure!

I gotta say… a Serfas seat is cushy but not half as plush as that chair in the background!!! ;)

    * HAPPY JUNE 8TH ! ! ! *

Friday Picture Day is taking a twist this week in hopes that more of you will participate in this thread… this week is all about your favorite bike seat/saddle.

My favorite has been the SDG “S-Series” seat, like the S2000 or the S7000, they were American made with full Kevlar covers and titanium rails. Pure joy for hours of trail (or pavement) riding!

C’mon now, lets see ’em… where does you butt rest when it’s not on the couch?

as for Missy “the missile” Giove and her pet pirhana (Gonzo)…she had the water too hot in her tank and boiled her fish. I used to have the biggest crush on her. (hope she’s doing well in prison) O_o

Ha… she beat the charges and walked straight out of court, the cops and the DA blew it… she’s still “The Missile” and doing well! As far as that crush, I was right there with ‘ya! I think most of us (male) mountain bike riders dreamed that our girlfriends (or wives) would tear it up like Missy did but that was so not the case! Unfortunately though, like us guys… Missy only eyes for the ladies. *bust* 🙄

    Hey skubi1,

Well man, I think you’re in luck… the Craigslist ad is deleted… I just got off the phone with Mark (the seller) and he said it has been sold to a guy in Minnesota. He said it’s already in a box and is going out tomorrow. I think you are one lucky Cudahead to have scored a Yeti made Easton Custom, especially at that price!!! Even after the shipping cost, you’re still coming out way ahead of any price that has ever come up on an Easton Custom!

When the bike arrives, how about you sell me those Shimano M636 pedals that were pictured on the bike in the original ad listing? Those are my favorite pedals and I’d love to have another pair! If you aren’t planning on using them, send me a PM and we can figure out the details.

Thanks and super nice score, I’d be lying to say I wasn’t jealous!

    Hey skubi1,

I’m curious if you saw these ads for Cudas in your backyard?

    http://rmn.craigslist.org/search/bia?query=barracuda&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk=

I’m not sure what size you’re after and what your budget is but here are 3 different price points. Hopefully one is to your liking and not too far from you.

    Peace,

    skubi1,

Mixalive is right, you should hit the guy up about his LBS, pay the shop over the phone and let them handle the rest. At least you’d have the peace of mind that the bike is being properly packed and shipped out. That should put his mind to rest as to whether you’re a scammer or not. It’s worth a try, good luck!
