    Cool guy, may he rest peacefully!

    There is a very large and well organized homeless movement in San Fran, last time I was up there I picked up a homeless advocacy rag paper, it had an interview with Leslie and the Keep Austin Weird campaign. What a shame, a honest character that took up the cause of others, only to be taken out by some jerks! I’d love to return the favor, even if Leslie wouldn’t want that, I’d love to show those cowards a real beat down! I gave a serious kickin’ to a pair of nazi punks that were picking on an elderly homeless man down at the beach. Huge gang of people and no one stepped in for the old guy! LAME!!! After it was over, this stupid girl called me an animal and asked how could I do that to another human being. I demanded to know how she, supposedly human, could just stand by and watch this defenseless guy getting trashed. Stuff like that takes all the hope out of my fellow man!

    You’re right, strong drink is as American as baseball and mom’s apple pie. It’ll never go away! The Progressive Movement tried to influence leaders to legislate morality… wrong, bad idea… the more you restrain, the more fight you should anticipate (both my special ed and my juvenile justice training teach this). End of story.

    Now, being native american, smoke is a very big deal to us! T’baccee smoke, not weed, is very special to us and regardless of social norms and ridiculous taxes, we are going to “smoke” for religious and ceremonial purposes. I don’t smoke “fags” anymore now that pee-wee arrived but I do still enjoy cigars with my friends. My good buddy was the single speed mountain, cyclocross, and BMX state champ… he started every single race smoking a cig on the starting line… pissed off everyone… it was a classic!!! He kicked heroine, coke, and the rest but refused to take ciggies away from himself, he figured that he deserved one vice after beating all the rest. I couldn’t agree more!

    As far as weed being legal, go for it, it’s not going to make drug addicts out of anyone that already wasn’t weak-minded! If weed is a gateway drug and we believe in the idea of the slippery slope, then that person is a moron and deserves all the “sand” that life kicks in their face! I’m sick of this notion that people are inept and we need legislation to protect them! F*CK THAT SILLINESS!!! The institution of fear in the country is undermining society. Whatever powers that be and the neo-con corporate controlled media is breeding fear and hate… news and advertising is f*cking people up! A friend works for NBC news in Los Angeles, the producer’s call is the same, “If it bleeds, then it leads!” It was the same when he worked at ABC and Fox, especially at Fox. The need to “own” or you are nothing is the norm. Let them go, we need to purge society of the pathetic and sheep-minded fools that are ready to get in line for their daily portion!!! I’m as liberal as they come, believe me I hate The Grand Ol’ Party (GOP, yes, that’s what it stands for, I was a history professor at a junior college for a year and a half and not a single student ever knew what GOP stood for – sad!) but I do not support idiots and their desire to seek refuge under social protections!!! Help those that can’t help themselves; those that can and won’t better their situation can get f*cked! Cast them off and let them go… we’ll all be better for it!!!

    Thanks vpc66, that was my plan after I filled a stable with 5 Cudas and began to notice the overlap in ride quality, suddenly didn’t seem to be as cool to own as did the quest to own.

    I dig Mix’s stable of Cudas, solid builds and they get ridden. I hate trophy bikes!!! Lest we forget the Barracuda bling in the Grand Poobah’s stable…

    Being one to not turn a cold shoulder to fine drink, I’m with you on the booze bit, however, the hookers (strippers and whatever nasty form of whore suits your fancy), you can keep that dogsh*t all for yourself!!!     Yep, I know it well… the previous Barracuda site had a section “IN PRINT” and Mark had a copy of the ad you’re speaking about. Being a young kid from an LA suburb and coming up in the late 70’s and early 80’s The Red Hot Chili Peppers were a huge deal with me and all my friends! “HILLEL FOREVER!!!” was typical at every show after he passed. Hit up Mark, he may still have the ad but never posted it on this new version of the Cuda site.

    I own one of Lisa’s racing jerseys, I bought it from Dennis off the Durango Craigslist, the same guy I bought my daughter’s A2Z that belonged to Eric Sakadinsky, the Cuda Team rider. When pee-wee rides her A2Z Cuda (or my A2L after she retires the A2Z), she’ll be wearing Lisa’s jersey… big daddy does it up proper!!!

    When I first built my A2L, I had a SPIN wheel in the rear, it was definitely a sweet visual! However, truing up some second gen XT hub wheels proved to be much more practical. I did love the look of the SPIN wheels, big points for eye candy!!!
