I have been using the over 200lb Dual Linear Wings conversion kits on my Manitou’s. You can find the Manual for the Comp at: http://suspensionforkparts.net/manitou4_mag_comp.phpAlthough Wings does not list a kit for the Comp, by looking at the above manual, it appears the 4, Magnum and Comp share the same Crown/Steerer. I suspect that the 4 kit will work on your bike. You may try to contact Wings to verify the compatability.
But note that even though you are converting to the springs, you will still need to replace the two 2nd stage and the two 3rd stage/rebound elastomers. Again, go to the manual as it illustrates these elastomers.
You can buy these 4 elastomers from these links: http://www.suspensionforkparts.net/eshop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=111
http://www.suspensionforkparts.net/eshop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=112If you want to tackle the project, I can walk you through the process. If you feel this is too much of a hassel, you can sell the Comp to me. I have a bike just waiting for a Manitou.

If you don’t know then they probably are too big. Most digi cameras output upward of 2400 pixels wide. Open the photos up in Photoshop and click, save for web, then reduce size to 650 pixels and save. Upload. If you don’t have photoshop, I think Paint (in your start/programs/accessories) folder in a PC will allow you to reduce the size.- September 17, 2011 at 10:48 pm

That satin chrome looks awesome.
Some of us here on the Barracuda forum could really use some of your scans. I for one could really use the Tree Amigos and the Tange scans. If you submit the big scans to Mark, I am sure he could post them on the decal page. Thanks,

I put a good test to the XX Team today at the Rocky Hill Ranch in Smithville, TX. About an 8 mile run through single track. The repair held up well and seemed to hold up to my 215 pounds of lard ass..
I broke my 15 year old CamelBac last week, so I had to install those bottle holders on the bike. It looks like I am ready for battle..- September 17, 2011 at 10:12 pm

I came from trails, street, school campus and sidewalk riding. My first bike was a red 1966 20″ Pee Wee Herman type Western Flyer bike. I rode it to 1st grade.. My second bike was a gold 1967 Murray Wildcat 20″ banana bike. I had long hair and it was cool.. I use to jump everything and pull everything with that bike. I pulled skaters, skate boarders, motor-less go-karts and road wheelies all over the place. Then the English racer craze came in and my sister and I got identical blue Western Flyer 26″ 10 speeds. They were bought for a Bike-a-Thon we would ride the next week. And when I wore out the 10 speed…. I wore out my sisters 10 speed.. I got in to motorcycles after that and did not have a bike until my Junior year at SFASU. I bought a used blue 1982 Motobecane 27″ to ride to and from class. Then I got back into motorcycles with a 86 Honda Interceptor and spent a lot of time running from the cops and dragging our knees around the Hill Country of Texas. Then my sound engineer buddies turned me on to mountain bikes. My first was a GT Talera. Then came the Barracudas..- September 5, 2011 at 11:52 pm
