What is weird is my 94 A2M and 94 Cuda Comp came from the factory with a 7 speed cogset but the spec description on the Bike page shows an 8 speed cogset. I didn’t think the 8 speed showed up on models until 95 along with the “24 Speed” decals on the seat stays.

Data when available, was taken from Barracuda info. When not available, I used info from Bikepedia, which is less than 100% reliable..

This is generous of you! Absolutely; if you would like to do that, it would help alot. ;)

I believe there were some bikes specced out a certain way, and they’d market them as her signature bike. Likely with a sticker. Wasn’t its own model tho..

I wouldn’t worry about NOS XTR, since the frame itself isn’t NOS either.

And the trick to finding good XTR stuff is to not “search” for XTR. Search instead for high-end period bikes, and they’ll come with high end XTR. Often, you’ll find someone selling an old bike and doesn’t know the value of it as a whole, or the sum of the parts.

Ross would still own the brand and any trademarks.

Those british Barracudas you speak of are not to be confused with the American brands. Different company completely.

I’d grab it at that price. I have a 97, very similar to this 98, and it’s a nice solid ride.

Keep looking. My last, I bought from a private seller in Arizona for $200.00 and I had him deliver it to the local bike shop, who crated it for $50 and I believe shipping was around $100.
