    I’m not a supersticious fellow, but..

    Yeah, the only question in my mind was if they made the A2Limited prior to 1993, I was sure that it never came around again after the company was sold.

    I can’t wait for it to arrive either! I’ve lusted after it for a while now, then missed an opportunity, now I have another. :)

    All great questions!

    – My research has led me to believe that there were 2 different Easton tubing types used: Elan 3 and Program. They used a few different tubes by Tange, which included (among others) the 4130, Prestige and Prestige Ultimate SL. Don’t forget, on the lower end aluminum frames, Kinesis 7005 tubes were used.

    – No idea on the total number of (Durango) bikes. I don’t even have a guess, but I may have an answer to this question soon.. :)

    – To my knowledge the A2Limited was only offerred in 1993.

    – I have a 1993 catalog coming, I’ll be posting good scans when it arrives. Stay tuned!

    I don’t think it’s that the decal is missing, it’s that the decal doesn’t say Tange.

    Honestly? I’d grab it at that price simply for the rigid fork. Won’t be long before those are considered true gems in the retro world..

    If you’re correct about the tubing on that COMP, then yeah, you’d be really close to an Unlimited.

    I rode a 95 COMP for a couple of years, loved it. I wish I hadn’t sold that bike, but we all have stories like that, right?

    Sweet! I believe the provenance of this frame can be traced. I saw pics of it long ago online; the previous owner had pics up on his blog of it..

    Yeah, I know.. Yesterday I found a set of NOS Onza H.O. pedals in California that match what I want to put on the 94 A2X, and that got me thinking about both the 93 and the 94. I’m going to begin sourcing parts for both, but I’ll be taking it slowly. I guess the one thing I could do now is to get the decals going on the 93, that requires minimal effort..
