That poor Cuda... it's suffering from the worst case of "Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) bar ends" I have ever seen! This is what happens when sports fans blend their sporting interests... weird bastard creations!!! Just sad...
I got 3 sets of those things lying around that came off Barracuda's. They came off the XX Team, Comp, and the A2R. Don't like using them.

The only good use of a bar end was the XTR 8 speed remote shifter, that was pretty cool for cross country racing, but that's it man! If you go in the VRC forum over on MTRB, some of those snooty fools will go off on your build if you have bar ends or riser bars! Personally I don't care how anyone sets up their bike (I'm just glad people are riding) as long as you control your situation! I got taken out on some tight single track because someone had a pair of those big bastards (like the pair in the bottom of your pic) but they were flipped out... f*ckin' set of antlers bombin' down the trail!!! "Oh, I like having the extra hand holds." Man, it was all I could do to not give that idiot a fast-track trip down the side of the hill... in my sadistic mind ... the thought of his chubby butt pin-wheelin' end over end made me smile for the duration of the ride.
Bought my Fs bike with them on it...hey they were the fad thing to have on a off road bike. Never used them, seen no need for them and when I bought the parts to build the Cuda I did not see a need for them..
