This bike was never produced. The sale of Barracuda to Ross Bicycles took place before this year’s bikes would be fabricated, and there are no known catalogs for 1996 – only spec sheets which were to be provided to Dealers to assist in ordering.

1993 A2R
Rock steady with a Barracuda suspension-ready mountain bike. On the hard road or a torturous downhill trek, the A2R – with proprietary AeroLite tubing and Shimano RideLite Exage ES gruppo – responds to challenging terrain with an aggressive ride and steady handling. Originally was to be sold as the “Slickrock”.

1993 A2R Lisa Muhich Signature Edition
The 3-time National Cyclocross and former NORBA champion put her mettle on these pedals. A limited edition A2R, the signature model features Rock Shox Sport suspension, Ritchey WCS kevlar tires, Barracuda design bar end extensions, and ProLite lycra saddle.

This is the lowest priced Shimano 24-speed on the market. But we definitely didn’t skimp. It’s got a double butted cromo frame and fork, race-proven geometry and all kinds of other performance features that have our accountants scratching their heads wondering how we made it so inexpensive.
