I noticed that when when it first came online, there is a A2R also….but from what I learn from you guys, would that one be a fake….or should I say one he dressed up. It is a later frame (has replaceable hanger) but you see the tree sticker along with older parts….Nice but not a true one…would I be correct.

Yes,and for same reason…tires that should have been layed to rest years before. A buddy could not ride his mtb anymore and wanted to try road,so being nice I pull my old Cannodale out of the dust pile with the tires and latex tubes from the early 90’s….well tires came apart and tubes were stuck to tires. I worry about the ss tires on my Cuda doing the same..but it looks like the new fashion for mtb tires is 2″ or more with BIG knobs…HATE them, I like nice lite ss no bigger than a 1.9. Lite, fast and hook up great on limestone…you just have to know that there is no bombing into wet areas or butt meets ground. Anyways SORRY your ride end like that, noticed where you wrote about going for a ride on the Fb site

Well if all works out I just bought forks to replace the ones on it which blew out. Bought off ebay Rock Shox Sid sl duel air…funny part is, in the picture on ebay the person wrote that sale was just for forks, not brakes, rim or frame…the frame in the picture is a Barracuda…so if you are on this forum, you will still see your forks.

Sweet bike, the candy red paint with the dab of red highlight here and there looks great. Like the fact you did not put a color on the front part of frame, think it makes the rear part of frame pop even more.

Yes it is cool Neo, have love being on bikes as long as I can remember..do not care what it is also,if it is a bike I need to jump on it and ride. When my kids were real young they would laugh because I would jump on their little tricycles and playschool bikes and ride around the driveway as my wife and mother scream at me for looking like a fool…didn’t care, the kids thought it was funny and I had fun. Riding with my son is great,I can not ride hard anymore with it not being much of a work out and my old riding buddies beat on me for slowing down…again do not care, love riding with him and have been looking for next frame to build up for him. Figure it will be another beater that he can learn on plus still growing but will be nice enough.

That is one of the things that I have noticed from the other bikes here. I bought it from a shop owner that sold Cudas. Heck I had gone into his shop back in early 90’s and fell in love with the bikes then…and years later I grabed this frame from him. It was his wifes frame, he had a frame that was a higher model but to big for me. As far as I know it is a true Cuda, but hope that the folks on here who know what they are talking about could give some facts on it. He had told me it was Easton Elite on the front with Elan (what ever) on rear….but Looking around that does not seem right..it looks like they were just made from the rear metal he talked about.

That was it…Thank you. Should have sent them to work were I could edit the picture’s better because it looks like they are still a bit on the large size…but it work for me . These shots were done right after a ride with my son so bike is a little dirty.

CLAPING my hands….great job, would have like to hear you turned him into a cripple, but with how courts work…you would be the one in the deep end of the pool…because why you did it would not be heard…just the fact you did it,at least that is how it seem these days. I hope that this act does not cause problems down the road for your Daughter.
So MMA…another thing to make me LOVE this site more so. From my teens to late twenties..Kung FU..and no,not just pretty movements..we did a mix (before MMA became what it is) of arts and did full contact fights, instructor was OLD SCHOOL, so some bare knuckle fights were done in our own group..ouch,they were not done to kill each other, but you knew what it was like to really get hit.
This really is not the thread for this……But in the what, two weeks I have been on this site I have post more replys than the years I have been on the Cave Diver Forum….You guys are great…I love all the post done and have yet to find any fighting among the “clicks” which on the CDF you have to watch what you say as to not offend the wrong ones… and it is the nice one the other known cavers site is known just for its fighting on line,it seems that most on here think and feel the same…….Be proud, great site and people

Where I grew up,you were known for what you rode.I can still remember the bikes but names have been lost.We would ride all day and during summer late into night, out to the beach back the the bmx track run a few cities over to another track. We would all get together and see who could jump better or bunnyhop…wheelie….all for fun and the bike is what held it all together. These days kids do all that siting in the house on x-box or gameboys….it is a shame, but we all have done it to our selfs,as a father of a 10 year old and a 8 year old…with the freaks today you can not feel safe with the kids in your own yard much less doing like I did as a kid being 15 + miles away . Lucky for me my Son has the love for bikes which I have set him up with a 24 inch mtb and we ride together,my old riding buddies get on me because I do not ride hard anymore….to tell the truth,I do not feel need to prove anything now….I have fun watching him smile and hearing him have a good time while riding now. My Daughter would like to dive with me….she is the water baby…my wife hates that because I am a cavediver and she tells them to stay away from that thought.

    Lotus Elite 600 Triathion Series..All Shimano 600 parts…all original believe to be a 87
    Cannodale SR 400 with Shimano 600 90/91.
As I have said,BMX when I was a kid but then road bikes…yes you can go fast….but no where near the fun of being off road and as Neo stated in a post. A true roadie does not seem to be as strong off road, before Wife and kids I rode alot and had the chance to take a friend from work and a group of his friends that belong to one of the big road bike clubs…They felt that because I was not a club rider I would not be strong on a ride. Then some of their best riders were calling me names before end of ride because I would walk away then wait for them to show up with a smile on my face….the next week, pulled out the old Dale and run with them on rode with no problem.
Off road takes far more than siting there spinning the cranks…..Not to say all,but have heard others do the same or run MTB with roadies and stay with them.

Loved Rippers….did bmx in my early teens to late…last ride was a Gt pro, when they were real Gt’s….looking on ebay has made me think about rebuilding it ,kind of got a laugh, with prices on vintage parts,my old ride would cost more than when I was a kid….knew I should have kept it. Sold it to get money for a car, then my parents gave me one…O well

Yea I know, new guy writing on old post….Riding mtb in Florida or as we call them due to lack of mountains here “ATB” we really do not have many open places where you jump off into woods, most rides are done on private land or state land set up.So as far as running into a group of Nude folks out in the woods …NO. But as a cavediver I have seen at cavesites were the European cavers will strip in the open, which often they are told that they can not do that. Most of the time it does not bother me….yea, when it is a female…but one time a guy yanked his catheter off right in front of me…..That made me want to dig my eyes out with a stick

Happy to be a part of a small but great group…Have been playing around on the site from time I signed up and found so many great Cuda’s it makes me want to go on the hunt to get my son one for his next ride. Have to say I was a bit worried that the site was down or something because I have been on so much lurking and not see anybody on beside myself…so thank you for the reply. As far as pictures go, I post a few shots on the Fb part of this site, but will put some on members rides here in just a bit. Thank you again
