    Another cool build you have there ” D ” sure you will have a blast riding that one ! You like that small section of Croom, I wish I had taking pictures of the ride at Alafia….that is a hang on and enjoy the roller coaster kind of ride.

    And I thought I destroyed all of those pictures of me in the short shorts and tube top….GREAT, now Derek will be turn on and not leave me alone !

    Lets just say, I no longer look like I am knocked up…from 160 to 140 and I want to drop more fat, then gain muscle weight back that I use to have.

    Another ride trip ! This time to Alafia mtb park on a cool Florida morning. Had to wear my lite weight drysuit undergarments at first, but the day warm up nice to mid 70’s and had no need ….GREAT DAY!

    Buddy and I pack up the truck and drove to the trail head we plan on riding, but the trucks thru out the area this time were those of hunters, 1st day of hunting season was today….we kick around the thought of taking the chance and even though it was cold as $hit my buddy nor I wanted to be the one to call the ride. As we were packing what clothes we had on for the ride ( Yes Derek I know, you would be in shorts and a tank top ) we heard shots fired and that was all it took…we put bikes back on the rack and head home!

    Agree with Zoltan, and where are these folks coming up with the prices. Most riders I see around my area will only look at modern bikes.

    Gee THANKS Derek 🙄 Funny, did not notice the roots on this simple trail as I blast over them first nor second time running the trail…took pictures while playing around on way back from second ride down this path to the cross over to a different trail. But yes I hope to be back in shape so I can roll past young smart âť— guys …maybe if I am lucky, one day we will ride somewhere if the bike gods smile on us and we get the chance !

    Feels so good to be back riding on real trails …though I do miss my Son enjoying the rides as well..

    A few pictures from the weekend ride, my buddy kept going so I had to hurry and only took a few in the spot I stop. Need to go on my own or with my son so the ride is more of a slow pace.

    Unlike the others on here, you are waiting for snow to pull your bike out for rides. Hats off to you Derek for riding no matter what it is like outside !

    Did a nice 15 mile ride today! Different trail than the new one we have been going to and both my riding buddy and I like this place better and having three trails that connect making a total of 52 miles, I have room to get back in shape before we go back to the old limestone quarry trails which I really enjoy the most. This place did surprise us with fast flowing single track, grade and drops…we had smiles on our face !

    I figured you might be dealing with the rain like me, it is crazy, storms everyday have my grass tall and nothing I can do about it because of standing water that fills back up before it drys out. A number of our trails have been shut down due to water, will be nice when winter sets in so maybe we get some nice cool dry weather to ride in.

    Wow I got lucky I guess, so I will post a picture of the bike I have been working on for the wife. A double butt steel frame Gary Fisher..still want to change the derailleurs and shifters, new grips and redo the cables due to age and housing too long at a couple of points. Need new tires and the female mtb seat put on, a different stem and cranks also. After this picture was done I clean off old chain stay protector and put a new one on plus a pretty XT cassette..reminds me, I ned to put a new chain on.

    When I brought it home it had grease and dirt pack onto the frame, cheap tires with the front wheel being a cheap bolt on and the rear has a broken spoke, grips were sticky from age and had a straight seatpost. I clean it and put what parts I had laying around to do a picture with it clean up.

    Checking to see if I can post a picture of the Cuda set up for riding the new trail with the tires off my single speed due to mud and stumps that would have the lite weight simi slicks sliding and tear easy on the stumps. I kinda like the look with heavy knobs on her, but can feel the deference in the rolling resistance, the kenda nevegal drop speed way faster than the Bontrager SS tires so much it feels like the brakes are on.
