I hope it comes back. I did not know there was a place to get stuff for Manitou…when I would ask at bike shops about having my mars cl rebuilt they would act like or in one shop tell me Manitou was a dead company and they could not get parts. That was the reason I bought the Sids for my bike, that would be nice if I could get those rebuilt for another frame. By the way I kind of knew something was up, because in all the shops they would start telling me about the NEW long travel disc brake forks they could get…which they would walk away when I told them it was for a frame that would not work well with the new fad forks.

Just noticed that you run disc brakes on your Cuda…..where did you come up with a mount for that? Most of the mounts that I have seen look like bars that clamp onto the frame but yours look clean..

THANK YOU MARK! As a kid with my bmx bikes I had no problem riding hands free and I do it on my son’s bike as well as my road bikes….but I have never been able to do it on the cuda which always got me and my forks just have 80mm travel….I never thought of the little bit more travel giving the problem.

The thought of that makes me feel like taking my son’s old mtb with the 24″ wheel, slap a 2.3 tire on it then put double crown forks on the front with a 26″ wheel with a 1.7 tire…..true chopper form…Bet that would make a nice trail bike..HA!

Carbon forks ….I think about that with my carbon handlebars from time to time. I know from past post Neo does not seem to care for carbon parts, bet he has a good story of a part cutting loose on a ride…guess I need to learn the hard way.

To late for me…I mean my Son,and I bet he would have like that ride, and that is if they were willing to ship. I won a size 13 Trek frame on E-bay and have been buying parts for it to do the build. Once I am done with his next ride…kids come first….I will go back to worry about my cracked frame..Does it ever end?

WELCOME to the Family…I would say second generation because of the replaceable derailler hanger, late 90’s would be my guess. But there are guys on here that know ALOT about Cudas and will no doubt give the year and facts on gear that was on from factory……….All that said, enjoy riding it…you do not see Cudas around much like some bikes
