In a way I agree with WillyWill but having gone throught it with my son I say put the suspension on but realize you are the learning curve and have to explain the hows and WHY of what you are doing and showing. When my son would screw up I would show him even if I had to break it down into steps, then if he was not to flipped out at time, get him to make the run over.
Suspension makes for a safer more enjoyable ride so why not,but as I tell my Son my belief is anyone can ride a bike fast,a good rider can go slow and still control and keep the bike up. Bombing down the trails are fun but learning to pick the lines and working the bike will come from following and hearing what you tell her from your years of riding knowledge…in the end her skills should show faster than a kid that is told to just go out and ride….My 2 cents..

And you still have a set…like I said ..Those things were ban from use at least here. Cool looking pedals that had good grib but my god when things turn south. I used Shimano DX with the studs which hurt like hell on a screw up but you did not bleed to death….Ahhh Memeories

P.S…….Those things should fetch a good price with the history of being taking off the market…hang on to those

Cool the little one will be tearing up the trail soon. With the pedals I read Bear in name and I think of the Hutch Beartraps that were banned from use because they could kill people, after looking at the pic I realized you wrote Bearclaw. Can’t wait for riding pic’s at least I hope to see some? Any plans on using that frame for something…single,1 X ? or just on hold

What is the Barracuda tied with Team Cervelo…is there any connection other than the name?
ooops sorry the team name is Garmin…my old riding buddy rides a P2 and that is all I hear about now his claims of no other bike…Though they did replace his frame due to a crack at top of seat tube then the frame that replaced that one had chips in paint in same area so another frame was sent to him and rebuilt free of charge again…

Are you talking about starting production of Barracuda bikes as they were? Now please do not take me wrong here…I LOVE MY CUDA…but that type of bike is DEAD,look how many(few) of us write into this site…clue. Now if you bought the name and hook up with one of the factories in China that makes the bulk of parts these days and had a contract set up for so many frames done in a full carbon disc brake long travel bike and just slap the Cuda sticker on it…you might make some money, that is what today riders want…Plus look how many small companies that made high end bikes have lost their A$$ and sold out to Pacific which has a different name now their self.
There is a old saying among Scuba Divers who have work their way up the food chain to pro level. How do you make a little money in the dive industry….start with a lot.
Neo has been around the bike business a bit of time and bet they have some what of the same line….Both bikes and Diving are base off peoples spare fun money and clicks come and go just like the funds you would drop into that venture. I hope to love my Cuda till the day I die then pass her on to my Son if he still cares for bikes like I do and that is good enough for me.

Don’t forget that you might be able to get used V brake levers for less..Check price on those first. Neo used those to keep the shifters he had..shifters/brake lever are one piece…you have stand alone shifters so you can run what ever levers you want (can buy) as long as they are set for V brakes… on ebay you can find them at anytime under $15.oo for the pair.
