Sram makes shifters and derailleurs that work with shimano stuff…they state on package as to which it will work with. My old Fs bike I have Sram shifters with a shimano xt rear derailleur.. the front does not matter so much which is why I have a Xt front derailleur on the Cuda…which drives me nuts along with the Xt 9 spd. cassette…I wanted a shimano free bike when I built it but Sram had not put those out yet…along with the Thompson stem I wanted which was not produced yet but talked about..
Funny that in the early to mid 80’s I was a lover of shimano…had full Dx on my Gt bmx bike…some time later I became a shimano hater.

No they will not..they are made just for sram….note the 1:1 actuation ratio. Part of the reason I love my Sram,they have less weight and shift a lot faster with ease even with a load on them.

………..I noticed after, you wrote 1:1 is 1:1,as far as I know unless Shimano in the last couple of years started making good stuff they do not run 1:1 ratio

Mix that is very cool plus you have had the chance to meet so many talented folks in their area and some that are no longer with us…I bet you have some GREAT stories to tell about those meetings.
And yes WillyWill I have seen great beauty in nature that most will never see but I have also seen death, and trash pushed off by man on our planet.
I built Yachts for a little over 24 years then was layed off a few years back and now work shipping and recieving at a electronics brokerage…reason I am on the computer most of the day just in case you thought I had no life..Fb and the Cuda site are always up in the background while working. Years after I did my openwater I became a Divemaster and work on a local charter boat for a few years on weekends,was a safty diver for offshore boat race which next year I hope to do that again on a few…but no pay in that.

Yea..life before the kids we were gone every weekend diving or riding,sometimes like for this coming 4 day weekend we would be gone right after family dinner …then we had the kids plus he blew his back out and had metal put in..diving and riding stop. A few years later he started riding tt bikes and I started back up with diving…he now beats me on the bikes and I have done dives that he thinks I am crazy for doing and he could only dream about it…But we love our kids and have fun talking about the past.

P.S…I would like to show you the reason I started riding again…one of my monsters and my current RIDING BUDDY..if he did not share the same love for bikes not sure my spark would have start back up. O by the way never look at the dates on my pic’s…lazy me,never set date on camera..this picture is just a month or so old
