Funny “D” but in 73 I was 7 years old which should have been the time I had the muscle bikes which we ….that is my friends and myself strip those down to make rat bikes out of them. From that came the early BMX bikes on to the final one I put together which was the GT pro frame, forks, handlebars and seatpost with Shimano Dx parts on it….my baby…Like a idiot I sold her cheap in 84, 85 because all my buddies were driving and I still rode around on a bike….What really suck is my parents told me not to and after I made the sale I found out they were giving me a car….

I just pulled that BB off ebay on a quick check more so for visual reference…anyways, yeah to me that frame suits fenders like that and funny that you brought up the side skirts, I thought of that but ws waiting to see how you felt about that idea. That is cool you know of a place that does that and fully understand the need to see how you feel about the ride of that frame. Have you rode any bikes before with a layout like that, must say I think it would be a odd feeling and wonder how long you could take one out.

How bout going old school or a new version of the old Bulls Eye…

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/BB-Set-For-3-piece-BMX-cranks-Fits-both-American-and-Mid-style-BB-shells-/221625877094?pt=US_Bottom_Brackets&hash=item3399ee8266

Was looking at the pic and how low the front fender hang, have you thought about a taildragger …rotate the rear fender over, better yet if you weld add a section …just my thought with that low of a frame it might be cool as a dragger

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good ride,
I heard Santa is shredding his way to drop off to all the good biking boys and girls !

Hope you have a great one D but watch it in the morning, after dressing your dog up like that (did not look happy about it in the pic ) she may leave a gift of love in your slippers !

Oh yes, used comp 2’s and 3’s with 2’s being my fav on my BMX bikes in the early to mid 80’s and ran the Mythos on the Schwinn late 90’s… I have Panaracer’s on the Lotus !

I like the simi-slicks and they are crazy lite and spin up fast, but I am not sure they are as good as the old Revolts for grip. I may pick up a used set of fire xc pro tires or like I said, the slant 6 for the Cuda….just not sure at this point of time. If my buddy and I keep doing more trails where it is damp, roots, leaves and dirt I will..the simi-slicks work great at the old limestone pits where we would run due to the hard surface .

……Errrr….. You took that wrong ” D ” …I really mean they are JUNK, as in dry rot and falling apart..but they are great for a build I am working on to roll it around and quick test rides so I hang on to them..waste not want not !
After the Kenda tires on my son’s bike and the SS I thought it would be nice to try the slant 6 due to cost and ride quality is good…I know the Panaracer is a very nice between simi-slick and heavy knob due to my brother using them and my use of the old pair I keep around as a temp tire…came real close to running them ( new pair that is ) on the Cuda, but I had Bontrager simi slicks tires on her from day one and want to keep it as close to same as I can!

Really no need for me to say a word, you already know I find that look to be nice….and I hope to add my vision to the mix one day.

Check the link you sent out on work computer so some things were block, but looks good to me….LOVE the bike on the cover of their calendar, would like to see handlebars with drop to them, more drag like shall I say..but over all love the thing !

That is the model I have ” D ” and yes I always run wireless bead/fold due to being a weight weenie, which brings me to the reason I have them. I run them on the Single Speed so there is little chance of spinning the tire on a climb while mashing on the pedals and they are the only heavy knob tire I have other than my brothers old junk Panaracer Fire xc Pro tires on the loaner SS. I put ( Tomac) Small block 8 tires on my son’s Trek which I kinda like, somewhat lite and spin up fast and would like to try the slant 6 someday due to them being the between tire. On my Cuda I use to run Bontrager Revolt SS tires which retired to my wife’s Fisher till I can replace, but the new SS Bontrager tires I put on the Cuda weigh even less…they are like cellophane, super lite and fast as hell….just need to watch where I am going due to super thin side wall…so most tires to me feel slow

Yeah, they do produce more noise for sure, but the slug like rolling gets to me more…but god they grip! Kinda funny how we are cooler this year and storms have been crazy up north yet you are still free of snow. You know when it shows up you will be hit hard, but then we will get the crazy snow ride pictures.

Hahaha…like the way you see that, sounds so appealing . If they strip the frame down and had the tools to take cranks and BB out, a chain breaker could be had for less, so yes it points to being lazy ! Need to read the write up on the frame to see if they talk about scrapes on the frame, bet they do not note that the chain they have been swinging around has ate up the rear end .

    Ps…that would be a 14

Yeah, I have that one on my watch list with Ebay, but I have been kicking around build thoughts other than a Cuda frame…it would just be built like the one I have already and I want different types of bikes.
