Your one of those underground bunker types I bet.. We could track you down by the smell of the food that you would have cooking,or and not that I would want to see it …the sound of the moans from you putting that prince albert to use all day long…If you go off the grid…please cook more!!!- December 4, 2012 at 5:13 pm

Agree with that…still not sure about doing a build with it due to some rust here and there but it is the right size for him and if he turns it to crap even more than what it is…O WELL!
I need to talk with him because I do not have the cash to do a build but I think it could be made into something he would ride…I like playing around with bike parts so I do not mind doing that part for a old friend,it will come down to what he wants.- December 3, 2012 at 5:10 pm

WELL THAT IS FUNNY!!!!Saturday I stop by my Mom’s and the guy next door rebuilds (junk) bikes to sell out front. Well we always talk about bikes and he pulls out that same make of bike to show me what he came across to ask me what I thought of it. Just from the name on it I figured what Neo said about it and check on line to make sure when I got home.
So Don….you don’t think the frame would even be worth it as a Junk single speed frame for someone to use as a beater bike if it was done up with cheap CHEAP parts….I know a guy that could use it and thought about doing it for him….Come on,I have seen Big Box store bikes done up that way and this is a luged frame that takes three piece cranks…HOW BAD CAN IT BE as a junk bike.P.S. My buddy that could use it lost his last beater bike because he leaves his bikes out side so to have a REAL bike would not be worth it to him…I am sure you guys are like me and the only time the bike is outside is when you are riding it…MY bikes are never out of sight and if they can not go inside a place with me I do not go there PERIOD!

Agree with Mix on that note..I know now that I should have gone to college, but I did not just like a number of others and now they act like you need a degree to work in fast food even. They push going back to school but what business would hire a 50 something fresh out of colege over a 20 year old kid with stars in their eyes right out of college.
By the way I do hope things turn out good for you Will but I wish more Cuda heads would jump on this thread for what it was made for…it sure was nice to see and hear about each of us that write on this site and there are a few that chime in from time to time that have not made a show yet….STOP LURKING AND POST!!!!!- November 30, 2012 at 5:50 pm

Not meaning to sound like a ass but different times RIGHT..I mean pre what has become of our country. I would go on interviews where they would tell me that they love the fact of twenty four years at one place with no issues and those that knew the Yacht that I built would talk about how they love the work done….BUT…and always a BUT…we are not hiring right now, or we do not care to deal with someone that has not done this work before or we can not pay what you were making before the economy died…so after a few heart aches I found a job that I make just below half of what I did. I do have a couple of young kids that needed something coming in,thought my pay would have gone up by now..almost two years later but no..and I do more than the person that I replaced. Some of the folks from the yacht company have done better while some still do not work so I know things could be far more nasty and smile with the crap I have been dealt at this time.
As I said to Will, just need to keep throwing punches at the bad stuff till things get better and try to keep moving foward.- November 28, 2012 at 2:36 pm

Sorry to hear the news Will…having gone through the same deal the only thing I can say is Don’t give up on life, keep throwing punches no matter what..do not give into depression. I have been layed out flat on my back in the fight but keep up hope that things will return and try to keep looking for a way back…that is not illegal by the way.
BEST WISHES on a new and better LIFE for you!- November 28, 2012 at 1:55 pm

VERY NICE….just those bi-plane forks alone make the die hard Specialize guys go nuts…will be a nice vintage bike to run around the neighborhood on..Part of your hunt for parts should be vintage Ground Control tires and that thing cleaned up would sure make the Specialized guys cry!P.S. Every time I see your Road single speed I think of my sandrail which I paint almost if not the same color with blue parts here and there…you know how they say a boat is a hole in the water…well that thing was fun but it was a hole in the sand.
