Drives me nuts with the hit or miss photo on here Don, I started to do pic’s but figured why bother…plus the fact I wrote the post while at work, I don’t have all my bike pic’s on the work computer so the loaner would not be there even if I could post a pic.
Hey Super D , most DJ bikes I have seen run the single brake on the rear, guess they hold to the old BMX standard of a rear brake only. When I was a kid during the early BMX phase that was common and it was a rare sight to see somebody with fronts. You were in the Mother land of the sport during that time, same go for you?P.S…I wrote this at work, try to remember to grab pic’s at home to add

Well, I replace the bike my wife called her own with another one ( she still does not ride ) change the chain on the Cuda due to the stretch on the old one and went back to riding real trails with grown ups and lost 20 pounds of fat, built a loaner bike for a buddy or who ever to ride with the gang and this year the Colson will come to life…a build I have wanted to do for sometime in my mind will become real !- January 15, 2015 at 5:54 pm

If the weight of the rear hub is a indication of total weight, a steel I beam might be needed ! They refer to that generation as the greatest from their actions during WW2 but I think they were just bad asses due to riding 80 lbs ( bit of stretch for fun )bikes around and I have seen old pictures of kids jumping these things in full dress. The build I plan will be a strip down balloon tire bike, but will post weight just for the fun to see what it tops out at….from the parts I have been checking out it will be a full steel bike with no alloy …unless the stem I use is from a old but new enough road bike to be alloy. No problem “D” but the wife has been coming up with reasons to need funds and I can only hold off the hidden funds for so long…plus my brother is going crazy wanting to see it and ride when it is done…as IF. Just joking, makes me happy when folks ride my bikes and have a good time, but being my brother I will give him a hard time about it for my own fun !

Very much like the thought of these, but I can only handle one project at a time and these forks are light years…ok decades into the future of the parts I have been checking out. If I had not change my direction from a AM build which I bet Super D would say these would be bad a$$ for I would be all over them!- January 9, 2015 at 3:06 am

Wow Zoltan your like Derek and run out in the snow, I would die, or that is the point and you don’t care for riding in the mess! Right now we have been hit with the cold front that has been moving across the States so it is very cold for us Floridians. last night with wind chill the feel like temp in some areas was in low 20’s and the wind is ripping ! I had been riding every few weeks but had issues with my truck and my off road riding buddy was in another car wreck, which he was in one just two months before( both of which not his fault, just very bad luck ) I hope to get back to it as soon as he can ride again, hate riding on my own. Thought about joining local mtb club but not sure I fit in.- January 7, 2015 at 5:43 pm

My guess is they forgot or wanted to keep private, Craigs list has a notice on bottom of ad stating if no contact info they can get in touch via E-mail and they give a spot where you click to let them know you want to get in touch. Guys I work with dislike Craigs list because it is open and you meet the folks, one has told me if I ever use it to met person away from home in a open safe place with back up. I kinda laugh about them being wigged out over it but the way things are these days you can never tell.- January 5, 2015 at 1:39 pm

Hey ” D ” is that a seatpost shim on the Colson ? The ones I have seen were much smaller or you did not press it in? I will need to pick one up or trim that so the post can be drop for the Board Track look….teasing me with that in the background !- January 5, 2015 at 1:31 am

I have a feeling there will be some fun bike related talks going on at Supers D’s house, don’t you just love the planing, search and mock up in your head at the start of a build. I need to save those pictures next time my family gives me a hard time about the bikes and parts in the bike room…I get yelled at because I call them my good babies!
I was going to start with a AM ride but somebody let on that they have a frame that I have want for sometime! By the way you guys get to see it in the pictures post here in shades of grey…P.S. Hey D what is the string or wire tied to the spokes on the rims of your Daughters Cuda…thought you were going to sell that frame also? What happen, could not bring yourself to do it ?

The blue or green one would be cool…the one you post on, only Derek could pull that much cool factor off
