Total width is what they mean by Q factor right ??? I mention the space between the granny gear and the frame but forgot about the crank arm, that comes into play with older style crank arms because they were in my terms straight where as the new type flare a bit correct ? Have never had a problem with the derailleur not tucking in enough nor having enough throw before.

I bow to Neo but I used a un72 110 before I put the Ti RaceFace in which will work with both size bb shells and the spindle length is 110 with RaceFace cranks… the crankset sets the spindle length by the way. If you have a bit of space between frame and granny gear I would use the 110…have not seen a 111.72 which my guess is they would call that a 112. I could swear I read that BB spindle length run even numbered, but I bet Neo will know the facts! As said I like 110 and ran that size on my son’s Trek with Bontrager race cranks which work great as well. And yes the first part shows what model it is..the 72 is the XT version.

Dreams are made of that…wreck diving and mtb riding, I don’t think it could get any better ! Issues with the bike had to be better than looking out the window wishing you could go ride.

That is cool that you were able to make a run someplace different Mix, how much time and distance did you get in?

With your forum name I am surprised that the Cuda has not been set up as a single speed…unless you have a SS frame just for those rides?

I understand but look how long I have gone so far. As said running around with my son is far different than when I rode with my buddies, plus I check on the crack from time to time just to see what has gone on with it.

P.S…. My thrown together single speed has been used more than the Cuda to the point when I pulled the Cuda out Saturday for a ride I had to air up the flat tires.

Hummm…Lack of money, lazy or just don’t care…call it what you want but I still have the crack and ride the bike. But riding around with my son is not the same as back when I rode hard trails with my riding buddies so I have not been worried about the frame blowing apart on me.

Did you brake the 69er down or pick up another frame like it?? Thumbs up to your daughter on the paint job…will she do the work on her Cross bike or did that project fall out of favor.
