Thanks Neo…figured it was worth a shot and ask. I will def pass as I am still building the Easton. Almost all the parts are in waiting on some turquoise top line cranks before assembling the drive-train. I did score an awesome ringle stem also. I am a bit annoyed though as the frame came without the rear brake bosses and I needed to order some from China as the spare ones I have seem to be too long to screw all the way in. I hope the ones I even ordered will fit.- November 3, 2013 at 3:20 pm

will do…I am probably going to get the frame powder coated and painted first. Going to do it the right way…also going to be so jealous watching the GF ride.- November 3, 2013 at 1:23 pm

my apologies but it was me. I wasn’t aware that you were interested Mix.I ended up buying for the GF and pulled the trigger as she loved the color scheme.

yeah…so jealous of the deals you get out there. Then again if we ever get into the fixie craze it will be my time to show off all the nearby deals.- October 30, 2013 at 4:18 pm

Tough call on the Gary Fisher. Looks like a steal at $75 but by the time I buy the fork, wheel and tire I am in for around $250-300 which looks to be the fair market value.I would love to be into a bike at FMV (heck I’m prolly 3x over FMV on my A2L build) if I get the nostaglia impact. This one seems to be borderline vintage and I would prolly rather ride my new Jamis.
Thanks for the looks though…I am still mad that I missed the High Sierra you pointed out. I had the rode trip all planned last week and I was going to swing by and pickup that Parkpre for $100 as it was nearby.

This is a hard to find bike! Bought in 2003 at Mad Dog Cycles in Orem. Well-made bike in its day. Frame alone was $2,800. Large Reynolds 853 frame. Marzocchi Bomber front shock, Trek seat, Easton Monkey Bar handlebar, all Shimano Deore LX components.

cool…I will check this out this weekend. I am going to assume the seller isn’t in advertising/marketing…not the best selling technique to put the bike next to a dumpster in your picture.- October 23, 2013 at 1:50 am

Thanks Neo…I thought $300 was high. All of my limited research came from the site you listed. I am almost done with my A2L (waiting on a FD adapter clamp) and was thinking of my next project. If the deal was right I would have stripped the HG down and repainted the original yellow. Maybe if the ad goes stale I will offer him $125 and see what happens.Really appreciate the advice.
