Yeah- snafu – I just bought a 2011 TREK to replace that Avanti (commuter) that got stolen. The guy delivered it to my restaurant, and we had a pretty busy afternoon (plenty of customers), so I gave it a once over “right quick” and paid him and locked it up outside. Everything seemed correct and tight. Thought I was getting a bargain. Too good to be true.
Halfway home (10 miles), the headset started SQUEAKING. I got off it and walked it the rest of the way home. Looked a little closer at it in my shop….. NO BEARINGS. The guy used a chunk of inner tube and a lot of grease instead. Guess I get to buy and install a headset kit and see what happens.
Dude, we sold the Lincoln, I’ve been shopping for a truck. Can you believe I can get a 2004 Tacoma 4×4 for $3900? But the guy is in N.C., about to go to Afghanistan! What a steal! D!ckheads.
I am up at 4am on my day off, and have just discovered this thread. Having had my Avanti stolen a few weeks ago, I am in anti-thief mode. I will maim a thief. Kind of sucks cause that limits my online purchases to Amazon. I have to see it and molest it before I hand over any money.
Just where have you been, some straight lace guy has been using your tag name and acting like Derek and I have been posting wrongful things against God and nature.
