All good ideas Mark. My buddies and I discussed the “ring” idea but weren’t sure what to use that would work. The thought of the head tube breaking while bombing down a rocky, rooty down hill section will take a lot of confidence out of my riding so I have to either fix it or replace it. I’ve been looking at some FS bikes lately but planned on keeping the cuda so I was really bummed out when I noticed the crack.- October 23, 2010 at 1:28 am

Nice looking ride Don, Since I got the cuda that’s been my only bike. I started with a used ’84 Schwinn Sierra, moved to a New GT Karakoram then to the Cuda around ’98 and haven’t looked back. Lately I have been considering adding something new, either an XC full suspension bike or possible a 29er of some sort but haven’t fully made up my mind yet. I’ll post when Id pull the trigger.- October 11, 2010 at 11:38 pm

Yeah, I don’t know. My buddy said they were just cruising around the park, I tried to get out of him what models or any other details but all he knew is that they were barracudas.- September 28, 2010 at 12:59 am

That looks like more than 80mm on the front, if it is how does in handle, and what type of terrain do you ride most? a few of us were discussing what the effect of a 100mm or so would be on the handling of an older bike like these. No Problem, I’ll be out of town for until Wed. but I’ll get it over later this week.Mark, I don’t have the tree Amigos or Tange decals, My cuda is Aluminum and made later, Not as desireable but I still love it.Todd
