I love the look of Control Tech stems.Don all is well thanks for asking! Hope you are good. I haven’t been MTBing for over 2 years… I cycle to work and thats it. A sorry state of affairs but hopefully a house move out of the city early next year will allow me to hit some trails.

ControlTech would look cool as on the team bikes? I will be using a high rise A-Tac on mine.- June 26, 2013 at 8:22 am

I have one of these frames, it is a thing of beauty! I love how the top and down tubes meet before the headtube. Also the heavily ovalised tubes (almost to a point) tubes and especially the hand cut dropouts with chunky welds around them.I asked Chris Herting via email and he said the only frames he made were for the team and would have had the riders name stamped on them.
The guy I bought it off bought it in the Barracuda fire sale for $20 or something like that. He was recommended to buy it by a Yeti worker who said they were made by Yeti. Maybe CH has forgot who knows? I would love it if it was FTW! Maybe I’ll send him an email. Herg- when did you speak to FTW?
Thanks Alex was born 6 months ago but the time has flown!I had drop bars on it for a while (as can be seen in the restoration thread) but I felt like I was riding the set-up rather than the bike.
I then built it it up as a do everything bike (with child seat!) but it deserves better. & I want to use it in anger a wee bit…
Pics soon.

Lance’s time was done on a 15km TT stage. Pantani’s time after 200km!- September 20, 2012 at 8:19 pm

I did wonder about Ullrich. Its been going on since it started it used to be Champagne & cocaine (ah those were the days!) ANd of course Tommy Simpson died on Alpe D’Huez with all sorts in his system.

I’ve just been looking at the Tour podium finishers. If Lance is stripped of his titles Ullrich would have 4 wins! And I think Bjarne Riis has been stripped of his? Thats 5 for Ullrich. Ullrich also finished 2nd to Pantani… so 6! 😆
Other people who have finished 2nd to Lance are Beloki, Kloden & Zulle.

Lance was a doper but so was everyone else. Doesnt stop him being an incredible sportsman.
Drugs in sport should not be legalised it would lead to some very unhealthy athletes and probably deaths.- May 6, 2012 at 9:42 am

The fat guy in the Lampre kit would make a good hot air balloon! No doubt he spends $$$$ getting his bike superlight.- April 30, 2012 at 2:56 pm

With 1×9 I tend to find I use more of the cassette. With 3×9 I am inclined to leave the chain in the middle of the cassette and use the front changer.I used a bashring and an Ngear jump stop.

Looks good already.Yep missing a bit to the seatpost. Probably missing the compression ring to the headset. There is a good exploded diagram in the below link.
