I did try for this one a few months ago for a XX Team in Australia, though the shipping was just too much to the U.K (£800/$1250)I would have posted it back then but the seller sold it after enquiring about the shipping costs

listing is still on ebay with pictures etc (though probably not for much longer due to age of listing)

I’d grab it at that price. I have a 97, very similar to this 98, and it’s a nice solid ride.- June 22, 2012 at 4:22 pm
I did not need much persuading I will be trying to get it,I have been looking for about a year for a team or comp but never found any with reasonable shipping costs to the U.K. and I have never found one barracuda in the U.K. for sale, just all the cheap full suspension ones with the same logo. Ross must have sold the rights to the name/logo as the bikes bearing the same logo were only sold through shopping catalogues and were as heavy as a tank, basically cr@p things for about £100/$150. the other Barracudas in the U.K. seem to be not to bad and actually get good reviews in the Mags but they do not use the same logo.

Those british Barracudas you speak of are not to be confused with the American brands. Different company completely.- June 24, 2012 at 8:09 pm
Well I got it at the maximum I had allowed myself, just shy of £130/$200 + the £70/$110 shipping,- June 24, 2012 at 9:07 pm

Do you know who owns the rights to the Barracuda logo and name now after Ross stopped making them?
Also a few years before I purchased my Cuda in 97, there was another barracuda brand in the mountain biking mags here in the U.K., I have not seen many with this logo design but there was one on ebay today that ended. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251087711139
Does anyone know who was making this one?- June 24, 2012 at 9:17 pm
Yes, I am now the owner of a Cuda Team, I will be sure to upload the pictures once it arrives
