Thanks to neo_pop_71, I am now the proud owner of what I think is the “Holy Grail” of Barracuda’s. The 1995 XX Team Dos Equis Barracuda. It is confirmed to be a 14″ and has a serial number of KM4090028. It seems to be about 98% factory stock, only having different tires than stock. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 7 as passing, I would give it a 9.25. It doesn’t look like it has been ridden much. The frame is straight, no cracks, with very few scratches. I bought it for $500 off of Craigslist to include a tune up and shipping from Memphis, TN. Sometimes you just have to trust that when you send your money, you get what you paid for. The seller went way over and beyond for the sale and I couldn’t have appreciated it more. Again, a special thanks goes out to neo_pop_71 for finding it for me.

Actually.. I was experimenting with positions to counter a receding wiener situation.. But found I was wearing my cycle pants too tight.

And I thought it was the advanced years lopping off the fun… 😥

😆 You are correct Mix, if not already but still in the denial stage !

Hey ” D ” they say 50 is the new 30….funny part about that, in my 30’s I could still move, and now I look like the walking dead !

Yeah okay, we can all sit in the park and yell at the pigeons together… the good ‘ol days!

C’mon Big V., you’re bein’ too hard on yourself… you’ve kept yourself svelte and in dive shape but I’d be willing to bet that most guys around your age are way too fat to fit in a wet suit! Can you imagine the silliness of a bunch of chubby middle aged guys trying to tuck in their manboobs… wait, that’s every weekend down at the SoCal beaches with the ol’ geezer long board riders on their giant planks of youth!

As far as that 50 is the new 30 bit, that describes half the jackasses in my neighborhood and those out on my local trails. I’ve decided that all the cutting edge full suspension bikes are owned by 2 groups of people, the young riders that can huck and take the pancake drops and the geezers who think they can. Any guesses which group pulls off the dazzling moves and which end up in arm slings and casts? This reaffirms the problem because the injury isn’t shaming in any way but instead is cheered on by the other geezers as youthful validation. F*ckin’ totally nuts!!!

Oh, I hear Sears has a sale on sturdy white leather walking shoes… an old man classic!

Yea I know D, for my age I have held on pretty well…but what fun is that to joke about! Plus I use a dry suit year round, very few dives do I use a wet suit..though it is the time of year for one cave we plan on doing a few times here where you have to push your gear in because the opening is super small and the next few dome rooms have low duck under, so we gear up underwater back in the cave a way…ooops sorry running on about diving…

I took the XX out today for a little ride at my neighborhood Greenbelt today and took the opportunity to clean up the trails a bit with a pair of pruners. The bike rode awesome, shifted well, and I made it without crashing once..
Here are a few images. The first shot is at Silver Chair Hill. Seems someone over the Winter built a jumping ramp at the bottom of the hill. That’s cool.. I want to see someone else jump that thing before I try it.. The second shot is at the Retention Pond.

I’am very surprised the chair has not been taking? Have you been lucky enough to see any of the coyotes?

That chair has been there for three years that I know of. I see those Coyotes every now and then. Usually they are splitting the scene.
