Yep……the piping on the velvet couches nicely matches the neon in the background on Jay Leno’s set…
…and…
(brain fade, forgot what I was going to say as I was mesmerized by her…)

*** Happy Friday the 4th of May ***Made it through another week… couple days off to get the head clear!
I used to race road bikes way back and in college, so I’ve always loved the Spring Classics and the Grand Tours around Europe and finally here in the States too. From year to year you see teams come and go, I’m left wondering where some teams went and there’s usually no answers.
With this picture, I have no questions, I know exactly where the Lampre Racing Team went… they were eaten by this guy!!!

I feel sorry for the poor road bike he jumps on and more so for any rider that comes up behind him and catches that view..- May 5, 2012 at 3:03 am

I dig the suspension on her ride! I wonder how many inches of travel in the back?
You know what gets me… back then she would have been freak show status or a carnival attraction… now ‘adays, it’s like every trip to a fast food joint (or checking out the “odd folks” at http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/)

The Beastie Boys… as punkers we never took ’em too seriously but their energy went off… hip hop they were kings… Adam Yauch aka “Yauch”, aka MCA aka Nathaniel Hornblower did so much to raise awareness about this planet and the people who live on it; he was an incredible artist, musician, filmmaker (directed most of the Beastie Boy videos under the pseuodonym “Nathaniel Hornblower”), a devoted environmentalist, and activist. He inspired many of my friends and I to get involved and do something positive towards change and a greater good. Back in 1991 at a concert “Yauch” encouraged the audience, “Get involved, don’t wait for change, make it happen… you can do it!” Well, it stuck… 20 years later I’m still working with at risk youth and special needs children.Rest Peacefully MCA…you brought much joy to many!!!
Here is a link to their video “Sabotage” (shot by Spike Jonze)

The fat guy in the Lampre kit would make a good hot air balloon! No doubt he spends $$$$ getting his bike superlight.- May 6, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Yep! I bet the gram scale comes out for lightest stem, etc. but how many carbon frames have they had to warrantee for stress cracks? Do you think he has the huevos to bring his spandex back and demand replacements citing manufacturing defects in the elastic?
At least the guy in this picture passed on the spandex and spent the money on a racing number! I have much more respect for him as a racer, instead of merely being a spectator on the sidelines!

* Happy Friday the 11th *I hope everyone had a good week, hopefully without any bad news or events!
Here is the next installment of the Friday Share Day, bringin’ back memories.
Any of you remember that feeling when you were little…
hitting the jump (driveway approach or curb) and catching major air…
or so you thought… feeling like you were 10 feet in the air… easily clearing 3 or 4 cars!
Evel Knievel style!!! I always dreamed of having his jumpsuit, knowing it would carry me an extra 50 feet through the air!
Remember?
