I spoke to the person selling this bike and he confirmed it has the Tree Amigos sticker. I am guessing it might be a ’94 frame because of its color. He said the seat tube full length was 18″, and to the intersection with the toptube it measured 16″. I think that means it’s an 18″, right? Unfortunately I don’t think it has many cuda parts on it.

That is the same model as my A2M. For sure it is a tall one.. How tall are you Niika?- January 29, 2011 at 6:03 am
I am 5′ 6″. It has the blue barracuda handlebars. He sent me some better pics that I’ll try to post soon. I think it’s a 16″ actually.- January 29, 2011 at 1:32 pm
Yup, definitely a 16, brakes, bars, cranks etc look original, only thing that really seems to be changed as far as i can tell (im viewing on a phone) is the stem. Great bike for sure, that was my first and i loved it. If nobody wants it let me know and i will put it in foster care :pedit: after owning this bike i owned a yeti arc, and then a trek fuel 100. I actually liked the way this rode so much better that i gave the arc to a friend and the trek is in pieces in the basement. I was never satisfied with any other bike afterwards. This fueled my quest to pick up as many as possible while i can and the prices are reasonable. I simply have not found a bike that performas any better for me regardless of price

Manbeer,Was this bike your actual first Barracuda? If so, I’ve got a couple of questions for you. Once you’ve had a better look at the bike, can you tell me if those are the canti brakes calipers you installed? If so, what brand are they? I can’t get a good look at them from the pictures but they look like my old set of anodized Graftons. If they are Graftons, they’re easily worth half the asking price or more! Also, did you put the Scott fork on the ‘Cuda? I always loves those forks! Great design, easily serviced, and looked cooler than all others! I’ve enjoyed following ctk’s restoration of his A2X in the resto forum, I was a bit envious when he posted the pics of his NOS Scott with replacement internals to boot. Even viewing it on your phone you called, you called it, the stem is horrible and has yo go!
You sure you’re going to let first first ‘Cuda get away again?

Niika,I thought I’d get a rise out of you with my final question for Manbeer, just for laughs! 😆 Gotta give the newbie a little ribbing!
I hope you get it and love it!

The blue brakes on the pictured A2M look exactally like the ones on my 94 A2M. I couldn’t remember if I had added these or not. But do remember changing the Y pulls to ones that could be locked with allen screws. That looks like the original stem that came on mine as well. It even still has the reflectors and the plastic chain protector. Not much mileage on that bike.- January 29, 2011 at 2:49 pm
Well its not actually my first but virtually the same. The brakes are grafton knock offs that were oem on this bike in 94, as far as i can tell the pedals and stem are not oem but the rest of this bike is and looks clean to boot. The frame is tange double butted cro-mo. I would swap out the stem, seat and pedals, throw on a few more bits of blue anodized bling, crank bolts amd skewers probably and be done. Oh, pull of the reflectors and spoke guard too- January 29, 2011 at 3:48 pm
So is this a 16 or an 18?
