Yeah, I know.. Yesterday I found a set of NOS Onza H.O. pedals in California that match what I want to put on the 94 A2X, and that got me thinking about both the 93 and the 94. I’m going to begin sourcing parts for both, but I’ll be taking it slowly. I guess the one thing I could do now is to get the decals going on the 93, that requires minimal effort..- January 13, 2011 at 8:06 am
Hey ctk-Great job on the build, it’s looking fabulous! Better job on the kid, beautiful lil’ future cyclist you have there, ‘gots the racer’s eyes!!! My little one sent me to the moon when she was born, every day she keeps me in orbit! You must enjoy a challenge… restoring bikes, having a baby, and moving??? Life wasn’t full enough?
Well done!!!
Best wishes,

p.s. Sneak a nap or a power-sleep as often as possible but don’t forget to tend to the misses (just kidding), like she’d let you forget. Good luck!

Still not finished! Complete U-turn on build… RST XMO (US made)
Hope disc on the front and possibly probably set up as a SS. A week and its done…- June 13, 2011 at 6:05 am
Very nice progress and congrats on the new addition!

I’m not the only one looking for one of these! I may need to fake one up with a decal over a simple blank protector if they just aren’t available.

I’ll leave you to do the period correct build! The fork is not that long (maybe it looks like it in the pic?) Its only 30mm longer than the Spinner/Barracuda rigid fork I have as another option…
Scott fork is yours if you want it Mark. Postage + a couple of beers?

Hey all,I was over on Retrobike and stumbled across CTK’s A2X build… he finished it and ir looks great as a “Dirt Drop” bike!!! I love it as I’ve always been a Johnny T. fan and he won the World Champs on his “Dirt Drop” bike. I’ve attached a couple of pics of CTK’s bike.
Enjoy!

p.s. CTK, no offense intended man with regard to posting your bike, I just figured the gang of ‘Cudaheads would enjoy seeing your build. My apologies for beating you to post, I just figured you’re busy with your little man… future ‘Cudahead in training! How’s he doing? Do you have an updated picture for us?

I was just about to… thanks for posting the pics mate, it rides great. Dirt drops was a good option for me because the frame is so long and low I needed to raise the front end a bit. I like to have a couple of different positions to move between so the drop bars work for me.
I have a black spacer for the headset and I need to adjust the angle of the bars and posistion of the brake levers. Setting up the rear brake was a right pain in the bum! No cable adjuster on the brake lever meant my usual way of doing things was out of the window.
Mark the rims in the period correct-ish build are Campag Stheno and the tyres are IRC Mythos. I still have the Stheno rim on the back but the front one is now a Mavic 317 disc rim.

Here you go mate, 7 months on the 8th. He is a very smiley baby but I love this pic!
Can’t wait to get him on a bike seat!
