Originally mentioned as the “Moab” in the 1992/1993 Dealer Marketing Manual, this bike lost it’s name due to the threat of litigation over copyright infringement. This incident is the reason why all Barracudas since bear the model prefixes beginning with “A2_” – A, standing for AeroLite (tubing) and 2, indicating how many of these dihedral tubes were used on the bike (usually the top tube and down tube). But back to the A2L.. this bike, though mentioned in the Dealer Marketing Manual, was not part of the official lineup when the catalog was launched months later. Rather, it was sold in a very limited quantity in 1993 alone. Limited indeed!
