Swooped up a Trek 800 Sport today. V-brakes, 3×7 grip shift, 18.5″ size, but its a threaded headset/ (I think quill stem?), which is new to me. This thing is BRAND NEW (NOS), and i got it for $40!!! Weird thing is it has a bent handlebar. You could fry eggs on any part and come up with perfect over easy. I’d stir that puddin with my spatula.Oh the possibilities.

I believe you have a bike, the part that gets me is ” This thing is BRAND NEW (NOS), and i got it for $40!!! ” that kills me ! With the fad of single speeds going on it is rare to find just a frame for that on e-bay unless it is beat to hell or has a crack in it…Nice score Wild Man, now show some pictures of it. I wrote this then remember I grab that Gt for ten bucks but it was in major need of TLC..I guess if you catch a person out of the loop or could care less..- October 29, 2013 at 3:18 pm
Can someone move this thread to off-topic? I must have had a couple of beers when I posted.
YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND :ugeek:Photos are on the way!
I troll KSL.com classifieds a couple of times a day. Some old grandpa had it hanging in his 6-car garage for the last 15 years. Cost me $10 in gas to go pick it up in the old Lincoln, but I have a couple of days off now to tinker with it.

This is a hard to find bike! Bought in 2003 at Mad Dog Cycles in Orem. Well-made bike in its day. Frame alone was $2,800. Large Reynolds 853 frame. Marzocchi Bomber front shock, Trek seat, Easton Monkey Bar handlebar, all Shimano Deore LX components.

It’s a solid 45 miles away, which is $40 in gas for the old Lincoln. But yeah that’s a frickin STEAL. Right up my alley too, but my price point tends to be a little lower. Hence not wanting to drive.I’m a stin-gee bastard.
