Here is a little instructional on how to remove a broken bolt. You can see the head of the crown pinch bolt is missing on the Marzocchi steerer. You can’t ride around like that.. 😯 RB01.jpg[/attachment:20jp61uo]
First, take a center punch and make an indentation in the center of the bolt. This is to help keep the drill bit centered in the next step.

Drill the bolt initially with a small drill bit.

Follow up with the recommended drill bit for the bolt extractor.RB04.jpg[/attachment:20jp61uo]
I put my bolt extractor in a tap T-handle. Give it a few taps with a hammer into the hole and you are ready for extraction.

If it doesn’t want to come out, you could apply heat to the extractor. This would tighten up the extractor and loosen up the bolt.

And, the broken bolt comes out..
