That’s right my brothers Cudahead, your eyes are not playing tricks on you! There is the Holy Grail of uber rare Barracudas in Florida as we speak… check it out:http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/bik/3039673407.html
“Aluminum Barracuda Easton mountain bike, needs handle bars, handlebar shifter, front derailer
Has Continental tires,mavic rims,clip pedals,Adjustible Rock Shock Forks,$120.00–OMO
check ebay these are very well made bikes
call 598-4316″ *area code is 904, seller forgot*ONLY $120 ! ! ! 😯
I spoke with the seller, his name is Mark, he lives at the beach and builds beach cruisers and such. He came across the bike and picked it up in a deal because he knows “it’sa good bike” but he has no idea what he’s holding! I would bet the first $100 bill that shows up gets this gem!
It’s the real McCoy… the top of the top of the line… Yeti made Easton Elite tubing… only made in 1994… over $3,000.00 full one-off custom!!! Only one other has ever come up to my recall, it was in Denver almost 2 years ago for $450.00. Mark, our Grand Poobah and site creator posted an ad on Retrobike for the UK Cudaheads. Here’s the link with good pictures (pay close attention to the gold and black Easton Elite sticker near the top of the seat tube, same as the pic in the Jax Bch ad):

If any of you grab this dream Cuda, you can pay me a “finder’s fee” and give me those retro beauty Shimano 636 pedals… those are my favorite all time pedals!
Good luck everyone!!!

p.s. I would be all over this jewel but I caught the worst stink eye in 10 years from my sweetheart and I don’t want that kind of trouble… happy wife, happy home… if you know what I mean 🙄

you don’t happen to have that guy’s email addy do you? live up in MN and would like some more pics/info on it. no area code or email info on the list site- June 3, 2012 at 7:10 pm
Holy sh*t! The guy dropped the price to $70.00!!! 😯The seller’s name is Mark, there is no email included but you can phone him, his number is 904)598-4316 (the area code is 904, he forgot to include that helpful bit of info 🙄 ). I’m a little shocked that no one on here has moved on this… I’ve recently gotten out of the dog house over a bike and I’m not lookin’ to put myself back in there!
Good luck!

well, i guess i’m sol on that one, i texted him if he’d be willing to ship and he just texted back no, so boo on that one.- June 3, 2012 at 9:28 pm
Hey skubi1-What about the A2V in Michigan? I know you posted about it being closer but that’s a rare gem to pop up and the shipping shouldn’t be too bad as you’re not that from from eachother. Plus, that bike is complete and ready to go! Hit up the seller, he may be willing to help you out.
Good luck!

Most bike shops offer a shipping service. That dude with the Easton would just have to drop it off. The buyer can make the arrangement and pay the service by credit card. Just ask him what is the closest bike shop and make the call. That is how I worked the deal on my XX.- June 4, 2012 at 1:40 am
This is killing me,if only a size 14 ….in my own state….heck I could have gone up for a weekend of cavediving and pick the frame up on way back….Hope someone on here get the thing so we can see it built up .- June 4, 2012 at 11:42 am
well, i’m trying to see if any of my old friends on facebook live in fla, i’m sure he thinks i’m a scammer, since craigslist tells you to deal locally only. so hopefully i can find someone from my past down there- June 4, 2012 at 7:36 pm
skubi1,Mixalive is right, you should hit the guy up about his LBS, pay the shop over the phone and let them handle the rest. At least you’d have the peace of mind that the bike is being properly packed and shipped out. That should put his mind to rest as to whether you’re a scammer or not. It’s worth a try, good luck!

i’ve never done it that way before. you contact the bike shop, they arrange the shipping, would they take care of paying the guy also? no idea how that works, so that’s why i’ve been looking at other avenues. thanks for all the help by the way!- June 5, 2012 at 2:13 am
Hey skubi1,I’m curious if you saw these ads for Cudas in your backyard?
http://rmn.craigslist.org/search/bia?query=barracuda&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk=
I’m not sure what size you’re after and what your budget is but here are 3 different price points. Hopefully one is to your liking and not too far from you.
Peace,

well, i hope that everything is legit on his part, money has been sent and he said he’s sending it out on thursday. if so, i’ll be the proud owner of that bad boy!- June 6, 2012 at 12:23 am
Hey skubi1,Well man, I think you’re in luck… the Craigslist ad is deleted… I just got off the phone with Mark (the seller) and he said it has been sold to a guy in Minnesota. He said it’s already in a box and is going out tomorrow. I think you are one lucky Cudahead to have scored a Yeti made Easton Custom, especially at that price!!! Even after the shipping cost, you’re still coming out way ahead of any price that has ever come up on an Easton Custom!
When the bike arrives, how about you sell me those Shimano M636 pedals that were pictured on the bike in the original ad listing? Those are my favorite pedals and I’d love to have another pair! If you aren’t planning on using them, send me a PM and we can figure out the details.
Thanks and super nice score, I’d be lying to say I wasn’t jealous!
