I received the 94 Cuda Comp I won on Ebay. Fedex lost it for a couple of days in Victoria, TX, but it finally arrived. It is confirmed to be a 14″ and has a serial number of AX3100027. It seems to be about 96% factory stock. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 7 as passing, I would give it a 7.9. It looks like it has been ridden pretty hard. One of the rims needs trued, all wheel bearings need attention, front tire is dry rotted, fork needs rebuilding and the frame is pretty much scuffed up all over. But, it is all there, the frame is straight, no cracks, and I am thrilled to have it. I still think it was worth what I paid for it. It will be an 8.5 by the time I am finished with it.
And, I got a bicycle shipping box to boot..Here are some images after I cleaned it up.

There’s something to be said about a bike that has some nicks and scuffs here and there. It’s been loved.- February 9, 2011 at 3:24 pm
Mark, you’re forgetting that mix would rather have a Barracuda that’s not been loved.- February 9, 2011 at 9:12 pm
Nice Score Mix, enjoy cleaning it up and heading out the the trailhead.- February 9, 2011 at 11:10 pm
Hey Terry,After you’ve hit the trails a few times with your Comp, how about a review comparing the ride quality of your A2M (double butted crmo) versus the Comp (Tange Ultimate).
Thanks,
-D-
*** I don’t want to hijack Mix’s thread, so if anyone else wants to weigh in on the ride quality between your Cudas, please start a new thread. Thanks! ***

I upgraded my Cuda Comp today. I decided to upgrade to period correct XT components and install the LX components on my 2012 A2R project. Neo-pop lined me out with the derailleurs and brakes and I found the XT/Mavics here in Austin for $50.- August 2, 2012 at 1:55 am
And of course.. No Barracuda should be without Yeti grips. That’s right.. Made in the USA, baby..- August 2, 2012 at 2:05 am
Very nice ride…another one that my Son and I just stared at drooling.- August 2, 2012 at 3:23 am

I’m right there with ‘ya, brother… I too can’t pass up a fine grip from the great state of Colorado but my grips are Ourys and have been since the early BMX days! Pee-wee’s A2Z Cuda will be sporting a pair, just as her banana seat sparkle 60’s dream bike is sporting a pair in pink.
I’m telling you… girls back in the day and today dig Oury grips!

Hey Mix_The Comp came out mighty nice! Those XT parts belong on the bike, good choice making the parts swap, now it looks down and more over, it looks trail worthy! Just a bit of Cuda envy…
