Here are a couple progress shots, it's almost done, and I'm really pleased with the build. Cool little Cuda for my angel... proud father!!!
A few things may change but all-in-all it's pretty well done. I'm keeping my eyes open for a XT rear derailleur to complete the build, I thought I had one stashed but it was only a DX (on a positive note, I found 2 XTR rear derailleurs that I didn't know I had ).

Thanks guys, always appreciate the opinions of my Cudahead brothers!
You're right, I was going to build it up as 1X bike but I got to thinking that she is doing so well bombin' around these days plus she is smart cookie, so why not build it up fully geared and turn her loose on the trails. Yep... she is itchin' to ride it, that is partly why I've been draggin' my feet on the tires and pedals. I'm thinkin' over that week off for Thanksgiving or the two weeks at Christmas, that'll give me time to take her on the hills behind our home.
O MAN....if you had my son and plan to push the final parts to Thanksgiving....YOU would find tires and pedals removed from one of your bikes. If you can grab some pictures of you guys riding so we can see the birth of a new little Cuda and the rider...plus it would just be nice to see some riding shots period, bonus prize...ENJOY!!
You could use that 3M Finesse It polish on the paint to bring out the shine. Pep Boys sells the small bottles for reasonable Barracuda Bucks.

At the yacht company I had worked at we used Finesse for final finish....Thanks Mix with reminding me about that stuff..Think I will grab some...Not sure if Pep boys still around here, have not seen them in sometime but it must be at other auto suppy shops or the marine suppy...
Even thought he is writing about men and their balls it is still FAR nicer than what we could have said or have been called...with me by good friends even...so THANK YOU KIND SIR..
