Hello from Reading, Pennsylvania
Hi My name Is Mike and I am a Barracuda enthusiast. It is the only brand mountain bike I have owned. In 1998 I purchased my first cuda' an A2FS I loved that bike but eventually traded it for an A2BS. It originally had a rock shox quadra 21r but I broke it. I replaced it with a NOS marzocchi bomber fork with around the same axle to crown length. I recently found out that the bike shop where I purchased is now opened by appt. only. The owner (who I know pretty well but have not talked to in a few years) is now 70 years old and slowly closing shop. I made a trip to his shop in search of a vintage fork for my A2BS and noticed a slightly used 1994 A2E tange prestige frame hanging from the ceiling. I had to purchase this frame knowing it was a real Cuda' so I asked if he had some components laying around that I could put it together with. He informed me of a 1998-2000ish Ross/ Barracuda A2BS that was brand new never ridden but was missing a hard to find derailleur hanger. I purchased that bike as well and put the A2E together with the components. I will post pics as soon as I can. Even though the later bikes are not real Cuda's I still think they are just as special of a bike considering they would have not been around with out the first gen bikes.
Until next time.
Cheers!
Mike

Welcome to the family...... all the regulars are about to pester you with this, so I'll just get it out of the way - POST PICS!
Re: Hello from Reading, Pennsylvania
Hopefully this works I never uploaded pictures to a forum before.
Ok these pics aren't great but the're all I have right now. The second pic is bike with road tires. I am using this bike for pavement since it is an 18" frame and I really need a 16" frame for mountain biking.

Forget the A2E... how much for the supa' sexy "Tella Tuby" front pack "Giggles" pee-wee bike?

And I thought that I was the only one checking out the fine rides against the wall, I would ride them and have fun in doing so.
