Barracuda goodies - jersey, downhill bike,

Hello,

I came across this ad for a Durango, CO Barracuda jersey. Any collectors or fans want some wall art for your 'Cuda collection. Seems like a fair price if it's truly what they make it out to be... or I'm just confused (again).

The ad reads:

I have an older downhill bike..frame is cracked..its a barracuda downhill bike it has good parts on it..front shock is terrex triple crown..rear shock is adjustable..no tires..rims and hubs bomb proof...make offer or come look..I also have some pedels and bars 4 sale

I scored a nice NOS, never even put on, still in the plastic, cuda jersey a little while back off the bay for 40 bones....i was pleased with it...

Well, it arrived in today's mail, I'm speaking about the jersey I originally posted about to start this thread. The seller was a very nice guy name Dennis, after we worked out those details, he dropped the bomb on me... Dennis picked up the jersey for his daughter from Lisa Muhich. This is one of Lisa's racing jerseys, she was having a garage sale, so he figured why not. He's lived in Durango for years and he had numerous friends that worked at Yeti, so he's known all about the Barracuda/Yeti connection. He told me that his friends at Yeti, to the best of his knowledge, welded up all the steel Barracuda frames. He said there were slow periods at Yeti and they would swap out the frame jigs and weld up a bunch of Barracudas. If that weren't enough, he has a bunch of 3D Racing jerseys... (why? you ask) because Chris Herting is his neighbor and friend down the street. He was going to look through things and see if he had any 'Cuda t-shirts or anything else. I had a bunch of questions for him about those early days at Barracuda but I didn't want to keep him on the phone. I may email him later with those questions.

What a fantastic suprise and a cool shirt to own.

I just did some research: Durango has a pop. of 14,000- I am no longer suprised that everyone knows someone who had something to do with Yeti!

One thing I just noticed, look at how FEW sponsors are on that Jersey, versus the one she's wearing here:



That makes it a nice EARLY jersey, even rarer!!
