I remember this bike (not this exact one but the same frame) at the Mammoth and Big Bear downhill races... pure Barracuda awesomeness!!! This has to have belonged to a pro rider at some point, the Hanebrink fork was $2,200.00 alone. My jaw dropped the first time I saw one at Supergo! This would be the ultimate Barracuda collector's bike!

That would have been '95 or '96 if I'm not mistaken. The Barraucuda bike looked like it was an Intense M1 that was rebadged with the Barracuda branding. The M1 hit the trails in 1994 and was the bike to beat almost immediately. Foes and Mountain Cycle quickly had models that were very similar in design. By the end of '95/'96 you saw a lot of downhill rigs running the Hanebrink fork, nobody else had a reliable 7" and 9" travel fork other than the big H. I believe the picture I included was from the '96 Norba Downhill Championship.
